How to stay connected to streamyx

Streamyx is a high speed and ‘always on’ Internet ceonnection with speed from 384kbps  to 4.0Mbps that offers cost-saving unlimited connection at a flat monthly rate.Howeever if you encounter difficulties in accessing the network, it could be due to simple reasons that you are able to rectify on your own.

Here is a simple Streamyx connection checklist for you to go through before you call TM contact centre at 100 for assistance

- Ensure that your line has a dial tone. Check your phone cable to see if it is  property plugged in.

- Ensure that your phone is in good working condition and you are able to make and receive calls.

PC/laptop must have Network Interface card (NIC)
Splitter is installed before the modem
For parallel connection, micro filter is installed and linked with each phone
Dialer ( either configured in PC or in modem)

What you need to connect to Streamyx
- Streamyx account
- Telephone line connected to DSLAM (streamyx network)
- ADSL modem
- NIC – Network Interface Card
- Dialer for PPOE connection ( to put username and password)

Two type of streamyx account

PPOA – username with 1or 5 fixed IP address. aaa@tmnet
PPOE – username without IP address. Dynamically obtained whenever connected and released after disconnected . abc@streamyx
